This video gauges the impact of Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices in a second grade classroom at a DC public charter school. The job as an educator is to not simply regurgitate information from a textbook. Instead, their job is to develop, create, and inspire the want and need of learning. This type of action requires a culturally responsive awareness to our student’s lives and their communities. By having this thought-based mentality, educators and expertise alike can go beyond the standards of education and create tangible and practical change for our future leaders of tomorrow.
